Who Is Marginalizing Ndi Igbo?

Come, all of you that promised to wire some money for me to support my beer parlour tour, how far? Na so una go just dey make mouth anyhow, after I no go see una hand. Fada Nwanwosu, EnYi NdiYa...Wetin happen na? I don spend my children school fees o, na una go pay back o.
But chelukwa o, what is even wrong with my people? Last nite at the beer palour, one bobo was busy screaming, "this man in Abuja is not Buhari..." Nna erh, some people ewelugo their brain gwoo ji. Chai, you need to see how this guy was arguing and hitting the table; his boys were nodding in agreement. Egwu dikwa o.

Well, I took time to observe and discovered he was the one buying drinks for everybody, except me o. Now you understand why ndi mmanya awoof ji ekwelu ya "iyaa?" It was a classic case of Onye ji igu ka ewu na eso.

Initially, I did not want to put my mouth in their beer Parlour argument until the guy started lamenting about the challenges being faced by traders and importers in Nigeria. The way he even put it, you would think that only Ndi Igbo are into importation because, he kept on singing, "ife Buhari na eme ndi Igbo..." Then he spoke about marginalization...Akuko kaliii di anyi.

You see, in everything I do, I try to be realistic; you compete from your area of strength. So, I quietly asked the dude, "do you know who is the Minister of Trade, Investment and Industry?" His reply was, "I don't care... ona enye m nni." You see the problem of most of my people? We just want to express unnecessary sentiment to justify the bad politics we played in 2015.

See, I don't know your opinion about Buhari's appointments, but I know that with what we got as Ndi Igbo, we can do well for ourselves. Yes, I know you wanted more, but what have we done with "the little" that we got? You ask how? Sebi a similar story is in that your bilble? Olodo!

Let me even ask, have we organised any Town Hall meeting with our ministers? Have we made any attempt to reach out to these brothers of ours to express our challenges and also give ideas on the way forward? Have we even tried to find out what their challenges are? Iya! you are just looking for an opportunity to mock Buhari and his party, like you are milking this Kachikwu saga abi? Ngwanu Jisie ike, but also understand that na Onye ji mmadu na ana ji Onwe ya.

My trader brothers, if you have issues in your line of business, speak with our brother Okechukwu Enelamah from Abia State, he's the Minister in charge of Trade, Investment and Industry. Sebi you have trade unions headed mostly by Ndi Igbo, why are you not putting it to use? Oh, the only thing you do is to collect levies and tickets? I bu nno agbero.

If the problem has international angle to it, then let's reach out to our brother Geoffrey Onyeama from Enugu State, he's the Minister in charge of Foreign Affairs. I'm aware he plays a vital role in preparing our international treaties.
If you move round southeast, you will find young and creative Igbo chaps fabricating one thing or the other; we have talents in the area of science and technology. And you know what, the Minister in charge of science and Technology is Dr Ogbonnaya Onu from Ebonyi State. So, have we articulated any agenda for him?

Ok, you lament on social media over the high cut off marks for students from southeast, but you forgot that our brother Prof. Onwuka is the Minister of State for Education, have we come up with a robust proposal on how to address this? Sebi all southeastern states have universities, including poor Ebonyi. What cut off mark did we put for our children? You see your life? Pot calling kettle black!
Oya, look at our brother Dr Chris Ngige, who is the Minister of Labour and Employment, how far have we helped him in addressing high rate of unemployment in the southeast? The only thing we did was to petition him in the senate, accusing him of employing more people from his home state Anambra. Nsogbu di.

Now, look at the Onitsha seaport project, which would have solved the problems of my importer brothers, the project seems to have been abandoned; your hero left it half done, including the second niger bridge.Nna, rapu okwu biko.

Today, our inlaw Rotimi Amechi is the Minister of Transport. Is it not better we begin to put heads together with him to lobby for this project to be actualised? Instead, you spend your energy and data criticizing Buhari and APC. Look at south south that lost election to Buhari, do you still hear "Pim" from there? Ndi Igbo amaro politics.
Meanwhile, major work is ongoing on the Enugu-Awka expressway... You can argue with your phone.
