Dr. Obasanjo Writes Buhari

Nna, it looks like this is the period of letter writing; everybody just dey write letter anyhow. Hmmmm, but this Baba Iyabo is a character o. Just few days after he bagged his PHD, Dr Obj decided to use pa Bubu to test his newly acquired writing skills. Chai, baba bu onye nsogbu!
But nsogbu dikwa na this country o. So, it took Baba's 'so long a letter' for the opposition to wake up from their slumber to remember that Pa Bubu has failed Nigerians? I once said it here that APC has successfully become both ruling party and opposition, but some of you called it beer parlour talk. Now, you see that we don't have opposition in Nigeria? This is very dangerous for our democracy, ekwuchakwaam

Did I hear you say PD what? Biko, forget PDP, that

party is long gone. Wait, don't argue with me; ike ogonogo okwu adiro m o. But if you actually read Obj's letter, the man made it clear that PDP was long gone; that line of a PDP governor procuring judgment... was the killer. Oh yes, PDP is in the pocket of Wike and Fayose; its a two man show now. For Baba to suggest a third force against APC, you should know that church agbasaala... There's no mekwatalism for PDP, except some courageous people are ready to match Wike and Fayose power for power, cash for cash!

I bet you, PDP will spend more time hitting back at Baba Iyabo than taking advantage of the content of the letter to form a formidable opposition; they are used to motor park strategy. Recall that Baba wrote similar letter to Jona in 2015...you know how PDP jobbers attacked Baba like a poisonous snake that must be killed by all means; they called the man all sorts of names. And if you ask me, that was the point Jona lost the election; Jona worked with a lot of useless people, who were more interested in stuffing their pocket than helping the man succeed. Someday, I will tell my story with Jonathan. Chai, ya diba.

Ngwa, look at what APC did with Obj's letter; who is still talking about that today? But wait o, I really doubt if Lai Lai Mohammed actually wrote that response; it was a perfect reply for a character like Obj. Knowing Baba for whom he is, that line that described him as a Patriot... The man would have even framed the newspaper page and place in his Presidential Library. For sure, Baba likes to be praised jare. But, on a serious note, the author of that response deserves an award. Nna, I wan go learn from him or her.

And some people were attacking Baba for writing letter...smh. If Baba's letter is not good to you, oya write your own na. If you don't have bic and paper, go to Baba's library in Abeokuta, they will give you free of charge. If you like abuse him from here to kafanchan, Obj remains one of our best elders; he makes effort to document history in his own little way. In fact, the man even created economy from that letter; sharp boys photocopied it and sold on traffic; Lagos no dey carry last. Biko, leave Baba to enjoy his retirement joor. But as for that his coalition, hmmmmmm, let's see how it goes.
Kai, but this Pa Bubu is a character o. Upon all the controversy generated by that letter, the man no even make any fim! A typical old soldiers, he resolved to hold private meeting with people that matters. Abi, his ear still dey pain am? Well, the man kuku told the world that he's not in a haste to do anything... Maybe we should expect his response to Obj in six months time.

You ask why six months? Itibolibo, your own is to rant on social media, ordinary record, you can't keep. No be six months Pa Bubu take assemble his ministers? Leave me alone biko, asili gbakaa ute.
But wait o, did you see that APGA angle to the letter? Na wa o. See as APGA chair run comot like parrot to defend Bihari. But I'm not surprised at all; its expected. Well, the truth is that a lot of you on social media don't know exactly what happens behind the scene, especially with that Anambra governorship election, even the Anambra Central rerun. My brother, afia zuu there... The more you look, the less you see. But I must warn, more surprises are coming. Stay there and be singing Nkea bu nkeanyi lol. But honesty speaking, I think our people are gradually waking up to reality, but we need to be more tactical in our approach. Give credit to Obiano and his think tank.
Come, where are all these Atikulated people sef? Wetin happen? I no dey here una voice again o! My brother, Atiku presidency will be tough, if not impossible sef. Don't get me wrong o, I don't hate Turaki Adamawa, he's my guy any day, but contesting Nigeria's presidency against a man like Buhari, at a time when Baba Iyabo has bagged his PHD and ready to write extensive letters, nna, uzo agaro there.

Let me give you my take on that OBJ's letter to Buhari; its a huge advantage to this government and I think they know it. The letter came quite early, a little over a year to the presidential election. Any serious party or president, who really wants to retain power, still has enough time to cover lost grounds. And from the reply, you could tell that APC is aware of the opportunity created by Obj's letter. But let me repeat it once again, this government don't have information people; communicating their programmes remains a huge task.

Let me tell you sef, are you aware that CBN has approved the use of certificate as collateral for taking loan, especially for youths? Have you looked into our foreign reserve lately? What of inflation rate? Have you seen the extent of work on our roads? Second Niger Bridge? What of the massive rail projects across the country? Power generation nko? What of pension? PH airport project? Savings from ghost workers? TUC achievements? Check how much Jamb and Customs are remitting? Are you aware that this government has resolved to decongest Lagos ports by opening up Warri, Calabar, PH, Onne and the rest? Who is still crazy about foreign rice and tin tomatoes? Come, have they even started producing Naija pencils lol? Yes na, sebi na the one uncle Ogbonnaya Onu power fit do lol?
But in all honesty, this government, despite its efforts so far, has failed to connect with the emotions of ordinary Nigerians, that's a fact. Knowingly or unknowingly, they have distanced themselves from the people. And once the citizens lose their trust in a government, bro , anything can happen. As for 2019, I'm still consulting the Oracle, though head or tail, the north will have it.
