Biafra, Oh Biafra!
COME o, who goes to the bar when his house is on fire? Nna, I'm still
in shock over what is happening in my region. I'm afraid that this mmili
n'elu, oga ama nama, maa Onye na achi ya. I will leave it at this.
But this is what my friend Chilee Agunanna said about this ugly situation:
"STILL ON BIAFRA: You see a president who has been tribalistic since getting into power. You seen a virtually illiterate president who instead of producing his WAEC certificate, hired 12 SANs to defend himself. You see a president who declared that he was for the 97% that voted for him and that the other *5% could go to hell and you know you are the 5%. Yet you play into his hands by starting a disturbance without any concrete plans.
You put your hope in one man who has been a scam all along. You carry bottles, sticks and stones to fight armed soldiers in armoured tanks. You curse and insult anyone that speaks against your approach or that of your supreme leader. You declare yourself ready to die. It is either Biafra or death. Now they have brought the death to you and you are calling the whole world. Even our Igbo ancestors in their wisdom said: "If a child is not ready and starts searching for what killed his father, what killed his father will also kill him." They also said that, "He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day."
They also said that, "You stand in the house of a coward to point at the ruins of the house of a foolish warrior." Yet you never listened. Now the calamity you have brought will affect all of us because when you bring "ant infested faggots into the house, they spread everywhere." Now you want us to condemn Buhari for killing you. Yes we condemn Buhari, we call on God and the world to watch him. But has your corpse risen? Have you resurrected? You can only die once and it is sad to die for the same thing that killed your father."
However, I suspect Chilee wrote this from the beer Parlour... I smell hate speech.
