From Boko Haram To Heardsmen
Come, if I did not wish you a happy Xmas or New Year, biko don't vex for me. Somehow, its deliberate. When man pikin was busy hustling for ordinary petrol to fuel my car and run generator in the villa, who remembers greetings? It was a Christmas without merry.
Well, the greeting could have work in Yorubaland; they have greeting for every situation. It would have been eku fuel scarcity? Buying fuel at N300 per liter? Nna, afo taa ndi mmadu mmili. When Bovas Filling Station and the likes of Northwest Oil sold at N143 and N145 per litre all through? In short, these oil marketers are wicked, but the government is even wickeder; yes, I've manufactured my own word, you think its only Soyinka and co that knows how to create words lol. Nna, agbaji m mkpisi small o.
But wait o, what is even wrong with this government? Honestly speaking, I've not seen a government so disorganised as this current administration. In fact, the government is full of bench warmers and ndi eye service, who have refused to paint the true picture for MR President. In Lagos, there was cabinet reshuffling few days ago; we need one in Abuja today, tomorrow, haba!
Come, Pa Bubu, let me sum up everything for you, Nigerians are angry! I don't want to speak big grammar, just know that everybody, including myself, is angry with the way this administration is gradually drifting...okwa mmadu nwe ogodo ewu na ata? Obu na Mgbankwo amaro isi akpu, ka obu na aguba adiro nko?
Ngwa, negodu in the middle of fuel scarcity, when poor Nigerian were unnecessarily wasting their little resources on fuel, keeping vigil at filling stations, someone nwulu ala NNE ya, came up with one useless documentary, The Human Side Of Buhari or what did they even call it? In fact, in a sane society, that team should have been shown the way out. What an insult on Nigerians? Ogini ka mmadu ji isi kota?
Just let's imagine there was need to show the human side of Buhari, so, you think that yeye documentary is the way to go? Who even get light to watch that rubbish? So, people should buy fuel at N250 and use it to watch your documentary, which I'm so sure some people have already used to smile to the bank? Akuko! Sometimes, I have a feeling that most of these men working for Mr President are overrated; they lack ideas and strategy.
At a time they were airing that thing, VP osinbajo was moving round Abuja and Lagos to see firsthand what Nigerians were going through. So, why didn't Buhari make that move? What other human side of Buhari do you think people want to see at a time fuel scarcity was bitting hard? Just get the man casual wear, not that starched agbada o, let him move around and hear his people share their agonies. Leadership is about the people, I hate long grammar.
Now, from stopping fuel subsidy, we are gradually going back to our vomit? Baba, this is not what we bargained; you better sit up or Nigerians will show you the way to Daura in 2019. OK, just because people are not already protesting and you feel all is well? Ngwanu, continue, until one character moves to Ojota. Oh yes, once Lagos raises the first placard, oso ga agba. However, I'm fully aware of some great projects going on across the country, but when the people are angry, confuse ga di ma.
OK, look at Benue... I don't even want to go there. That barbaric incident will hunt us as a country forever. Look at how human lives were wasted in one night? And we are busy arguing grazing reserve? See, God, if you don't punish some people over this, then we could as well turn our churches into night clubs.
While tears were pouring in Benue, someone was busy staging a political rally in Abia? You didn't feel the mood around the country? You didn't see outrage on social media? You couldn't at least suspend the rally for a later date? So, human lives no longer matter?
OK, why didn't Buhari attend the mass burial in Benue, or at least send Osinbajo (onye adi anwu anwu)? I know that APC chair Oyegun was present, but that's not enough. Oh yes, when Niger Delta was boiling with Avengers, Mr President canceled his planned visit and sent Osinbajo down there. And if you ask me, Mr VP did a good job there. OK, do you still hear fim in Niger Delta? So, why didn't they take the same option in Benue? The people want to hear from their leader, they are currently having trust issues. Tomorrow, you will carry your 2019 campaign there? Look, Buhari does not have advisers, period!
Come, gov Ortom, I sympathize with you on the killings, but hey, why are you looking defeated already? If the Chief Security Officer of Benue is looking crushed, what do you expect your citizens to do? Oga abuzi nu oke n'ofia, ngwele n'uno. See, beyond the physical fight, you must not lose the psychological war; its equally important oga Ortom.
You may be laughing at Fayose of Ekiti, but the truth is that he's on top of the psychological war; the man ji strategy joor. He has gathered all the hunters in Ekiti and empowered them to secure their people; that's his own state police jare. So, if you say that isi adiro GI mma, carry cattle enter Ekiti lol
Ngwa, nezie nke na agba m isi popcorn, do you know that some of the finest soldiers Nigeria has ever produced, come from that Benue axis. So, why is the fight against herdsmen a big issue? What is David Mark and co doing? See, this is the time to put politics aside and find a way to secure the people of Benue. If FG fails to secure you, you secure yourself. Mr governor should by now convene a meeting of stakeholders, preferably retired officers from the area, and think of how to deal with this sad situation. Amaro kwa onye oga Abu echi!
To President Buhari, you have the opportunity to prove what exactly you are. If you like take the chances, if you like, don't. In all, posterity will judge you.
